Due to the sugarcane processing method used as a natural way of removing the caffeine, we can be proud of the decaf that we roast! It uses a component found in sugar cane, which will naturally bind to caffeine, removing it from the bean. With this method, there is no soaking the beans in water or harsh chemicals, resulting in a smoother and tastier cup. It’s non-traditional, complex, and sweet, and has notes of sweet cherries, maple syrup, and candied almonds.

The coffee is processed with a natural ethyl acetate, produced from the esterification of ethyl alcohol and natural acetic acid. It is a fairly complex process, but one that ensures the caffeine is well extracted from the coffee and safe for consumption.
