Ignacio Carlos Urban arrived in Minas Gerais, a state in southern Brazil bordering the Atlantic Ocean, in the 1970s with a dream, paired with much determination and desire, to produce quality coffee on a large scale. He started with soybeans and now, more than 45 years later, Grupo Farroupilha has grown into that larger-scale operation. There are now labs for analyzing seeds and coffee quality, a cotton plant that processes fiber produced by the company, coffee trading, a transport yard, and a fertilizer mixer.

We are thrilled to bring Rio Brilhante, this unique, naturally processed coffee into our lineup. With a dominant and upfront nutty taste, rounded out by a sweet fruit-forward flavor, we recommend this for drip/filter or by the cup brewing.
