Taste notes: Baked Apple, Nougat and Peppercorn
Country: El Salvador
Town: Santa Ana
Farm: Monte Verde
Elevation: 1200-1500 MASL
The Monte Verde coffee farm has been around for generations. Rene Contreras - who is fifth in the family line to run this farm, - along with their family, are deeply invested in their local community and dedicated to providing health to the town and the local stray animals.
Due to the small size of this farm, it only produces a limited amount of coffee each year. It’s closely monitored by the importer, and together with the farmer they are continuously perfecting their process. That's why this bourbon varietal from the town of Santa Ana produces an excellent, smooth bodied coffee, with hints of nutty chocolate and baked apples.
