Located in the southernmost part of Colombia, the Department of Narino is well known for coffee production. Narino is named after independence leader Antonio Narino. Its capital, San Juan de Pasto, is in the west of the country, bordering Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean.

With sloping landscapes containing deep and spotted valleys, this Department’s terroir directly affects the temperature modulation that creates these high-acidity, supersweet coffees. Purchased from day lots of ripe cherries that are brought to the wet mill in Narino, this coffee is then specially selected for cup quality by Select Exports. Samples are then sent to our export contact Anthem, for approval to match our interests and profiles.
